From its assembly to the XCS software, everything is manageable for a first time and not a techie like me. Cant wait to make more projects. thank you xtool and keep up the good work!
I purchased the 5w primarily for engraving aluminum dog tags to put on our industrial equipment. The laser is not powerful enough to etch in the characters and numbers, but scores it and changes the aluminum colour into black. The 5w is slow when on this setting, but is very fast with the settings that just do an outline of the object/characters. I will be upgrading the laser head at a later date, but the detail the 5w achieves on other material is amazing, and the laser package design and fit and finish is excellent. 4/5 as the website claimed it could engrave/etch aluminum. I highly recommend getting the honeycomb base with the kit you choose as they only provide a small piece of material to put under your projects.
New to laser world. Dx1pro was easy to setup and use right out of the box. Love the xtool creative space it makes it great to experiment. Also the material selector on the website makes it awesome to pick material and set laser to score,cut or engrave. Love it.
To begin, when I was unboxing this laser and the accessories I was amazed. Every part was throughly packaged and taken care of. The equivalent of unboxing an Apple product.
Regarding the laser, I still have a lot of learning to do with the laser and different materials. But, this laser is with out a doubt capable of meeting my standards. It can cut thin wood, engrave any wood and further more expands into new materials for me including glass and stainless steel.
I am thrilled with this laser and look forward to its future uses.
