First CO2 laser but my 3rd xtool machine. Love the brand 💚
My new P2S arrived a few days ago. I am switching over to XTool from another laser company. I have used my "other" laser for about 4 years now, but after years of issues and constantly working on the machine, I decided to try something new. My research led me to XTool and my budget led me to a P2S. The machine arrived safely (though the delivery driver left the box on it's side, instead of flat as the box clearly indicated to). The machine was easy to unpack and set up. I loved that each screw and whatnot that needed to be removed was clearly labeled with stickers, which made the set up go much faster. I did break a part of the cover trying to open the back for the antifreeze/water, but this may have been more my error than machine built issue. The back was a little stubborn to come off, which caused the break. This is mostly cosmetic and not a concern to me. The machine runs amazingly! I am very happy with this purchase.
I bought this laser as a tool to give me something to do in my off time from my new work schedule when I can't do my summer-time side-gig. The learning curve for settings on the machine and the Xtool software is a bit steeper than I had anticipated, and I have wasted a bit of material in trying to figure it out. I highly advise buying extra for every of your first few projects.
With that being said, once I figured out the quirks, it's started to get fun. I made my wife a sign for her office, a golf ball display for my bar, and I am currently running the laser to make a gift for a friend. All 3 projects came out great, and I see a TON of value in the machine.
I did not initially order the riser, conveyer, or rotary attachments, but see all 3 in my near future to expand my capabilities.
My wife was initially not on board with me buying "another toy," but now that she has seen some of what the machine is capable of, she's bragging about it to her friends now, and I fear I will quickly be buried under more "honey-do's" working with the P2S.
I recently purchased a P2S which has been great. The ability to use easy software to create great products. Looking forward to testing new ways to create new products
I had a p2, and added a P2s. I owned another popular brand, but my XTOOL setup out performs the competition on every level.
The P2s is fast, the fans are a major upgrade, and it is easy to operate and clean. Their software is feature-rich, but still user friendly. My dual laser setup is perfect for my small workshop. It allows me to be productive during my busy season.
